Many people in the Gambia are facing starvation. To help alleviate this dire hunger crisis, AfriCause delivers 50 kilograms of rice (Gambian staple food) to each starving household monthly. Up until March 2025, we have delivered rice to 189 families under extreme poverty, providing for over 30,000 meals in total. In the future we plan to reach more families every month and distribute a nutrition packet in addition to rice.
