Oftentimes there are people in need of urgent medical treatment but cannot afford it themselves. Under such circumstances their family members will contact us, and we will try to pay for all their medical expenses. We have a “medical rescue savings pool” specifically used to help people in need of urgent treatment, but oftentimes we do not have enough to provide for everyone that requested our help. Donations towards this pool can potentially save lives.
A list of patients we paid medical expenses for so far:
Two adolescent boys in critical condition with malaria;
One elderly woman in critical condition with fungal infection;
One elderly woman with cauda equina syndrome needing spinal surgery;
One young girl with second-degree burns;
One middle-aged woman with life-threatening anaphylaxis;
One elderly man with leg injury and infection;
One woman with severe gallstones;
One infant with acute groin inflammation.
