At AfriCause we combine charity endeavors with commercial practices to maximise
humanitarian impact while contributing to economic development. Specifically, we create small businesses for unemployed Gambians, offering them a sustainable source of income.
So far we have launched two businesses. The first one is a multi-service complex including a convenience store, a barber’s, and a smartphone repair center. This shared space has created over 10 full time job positions and is consistently generating profits. The second business is a mini food market, which currently employs 3 full time and several part-time workers. It also operates as a food assistance center for people in need.
This social entrepreneurship model has proven to be effective and replicable. We plan to create more social enterprises in the future to broaden our impact. If you are interested in investing or have specific business proposals, please reach out to contact.africause@gmail.com. We look forward to cooperating with you.
